Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bun-Bun. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, please do not use this app.

Everything you stamp, wishlist, or upload belongs to you. We don't claim ownership.

By uploading or posting content — including dish photos, notes, and location information — you grant Bun-Bun and other users a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and perpetual licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Bun-Bun platform. This licence exists solely to operate the app and ends when you delete the content, except where others have already re-stamped it.

You represent that you own or have the right to share all content you upload.

When you re-stamp another user's dish, you are sharing it to your own feed with credit to the original stamper. You may not re-stamp dishes in a way that misrepresents who originally posted them.

• Use the app to track and share food you've eaten or want to try.
• Invite friends to your buddies and see their recommendations.
• Submit public Instagram Reels or YouTube videos to extract dish information for your wishlist.
• Re-stamp dishes from your friends' feeds to add them to your own stamps.

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's copyright.
• Upload content that includes another person's private or sensitive information without their consent.
• Attempt to access other users' data or reverse-engineer the app.
• Use the app for commercial purposes, scraping, or automated data collection.
• Submit private or restricted social media posts to the parser — only submit content you have the right to share.
• Abuse the reel parser in a way that overwhelms third-party services.

Bun-Bun respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Our designated Copyright Agent is registered with the US Copyright Office (Registration #DMCA-1073675).

Repeat infringer policy: Accounts that receive multiple verified copyright complaints will be suspended or permanently terminated.

To submit a copyright takedown notice, email hello@bunbun.food with the following:

• Your name and contact information (email, phone, address).
• Identification of the copyrighted work and the allegedly infringing content on Bun-Bun.
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.

Counter-notice: If your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to hello@bunbun.food. We will restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the claimant files a legal action.

• Parse credits are consumed when a reel or video is successfully fetched — whether or not you approve the extracted dishes.
• Credits are non-refundable once consumed. We do not offer refunds on parse packs except where required by law.
• Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms' refund policies.
• Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms are not entitled to a refund of any purchased boosts, parse credits, or other paid features.
• Prices are shown in your local currency and may vary by region.

Bun-Bun includes a community-powered accessibility layer. When you visit a venue, you can flag whether it has step-free access, wide doorways, accessible seating, and similar features.

• Only vote on outlets you have personally visited.
• You can change or withdraw your vote at any time from the outlet detail view.
• Do not submit false or misleading accessibility information — people with mobility needs rely on it.
• Do not coordinate votes to artificially inflate or deflate a venue's score.

We reserve the right to remove votes submitted in bad faith. Repeated abuse may result in account suspension.

Bun-Bun is a work in progress. Features may change, break, or disappear. We'll do our best not to lose your data, but we cannot guarantee availability, uptime, or continuity during this beta period. Use it knowing that.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, including for copyright infringement, harmful content, or abuse of the parser.

You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — all your stamps, wishlists, buddy connections, parse jobs, and activity data are permanently removed. Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations; your profile is anonymised at that point rather than fully deleted.

Purchased items (boosts, parse packs) are not refunded on deletion.

The parser submits a publicly accessible Instagram Reel or YouTube video URL to extract dish information on your behalf. By using this feature:

• You confirm the content you submit is publicly accessible and that you have the right to process it for personal use — including reels you have posted yourself.
• You acknowledge that accessing data from third-party platforms may be subject to those platforms' own Terms of Service (including Meta's and YouTube/Google's). Bun-Bun is not a party to those agreements and cannot advise on your compliance with them.
• Bun-Bun is not liable for any action taken by a third-party platform — including account restriction, content removal, or legal action — arising from your use of the parser feature, whether you submitted your own content or publicly available content posted by others.
• The parser relies on third-party infrastructure (including Apify and the YouTube Data API) that may be restricted, rate-limited, or become unavailable. We do not guarantee continuous parser availability and will surface a clear error when the service is temporarily down. Credits are not consumed if the platform fetch fails.
• Any scraped content from a parse job is deleted immediately when you approve or cancel. If a job fails or you do not act on it, the raw content is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Bun-Bun is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, inaccurate dish information, or inaccessible venues. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India. California users retain rights under California law, including the CCPA. This service is not currently directed at residents of the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be notified via the app. Continuing to use Bun-Bun after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
